Engine 23

Engine 23 is a 2003 E-One Typhoon Engine and responds on most fire calls in #1 district, all non-city fire calls, and some auto accidents. It is equipped with a1500 gpm pump, 1250 gallons of water (w/ rear dump valve) and 30 gallon Class ‘A’ and ‘B’ foam tanks for the FoamPro system. This engine has (2) 1-3/4" 200 ft. and (1) 100ft 1-3/4" trash line speed-lays, and a crosslay pre-connect of 300 ft of 2" hose . Off the rear of the engine it has (1) pre-connect 200ft of 2-1/2" hose and (1) 200 ft of 3" hose pre-connected to a Blitzfire portable deluge. It carries a complement of 3" and 1000 ft. of 5" supply line and hard suction hose for drafting, Hi-Rise/Hotel pack, and NFPA ground ladder compliment. Engine 23 carries a backup set of Holmatro hydraulic rescue tools, sawz-all and chain saw, wood cribbing, multi-gas monitoring, gas PPV fan and various other rescue equipment. It is equipped with a 10Kw PTO generator, and various electric lighting equipment. Engine 23 also carries an AED and BLS equipment, thermal imager, FireCom headsets, 200’ search rope bag, and is equipped with a Knox KeySecure and On-Spot tire chains. This truck has seating for 4 firefighters and is usually staffed with a crew of 2 or 3 for most fire calls.
