Electric Aggregation Program Notification
 

The Township’s two-year electric aggregation contract with Dynegy has expired. After careful consideration, the Board of Trustees has decided not to move forward with the new contract due to the unfavorable rates currently being offered.

In the interim, residents will receive a one-year offer at a rate approximately 2% below the current Price to Compare. However, we encourage you to visit the Energy Choice Ohio - Apples to Apples website to explore competitive options. Selecting a provider offering an 18-month fixed rate with no additional fees may provide better savings at this time.

Please know that we remain committed to securing a new aggregation contract that best serves the interests of our residents and will continue to monitor market conditions closely.

Springfield Township is one of the eighteen townships of Richland County, Ohio, United States. It is a part of the Mansfield Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The 2020 census found 11,064 people in the township, 4,409 of whom lived in the unincorporated portions of the township. Ontario City found 6,656 people living in the city limits.
